Aside from a cup of coffee, another way to keep warm in the cold Baguio weather is through Korean barbecue!
Baguio has become home to many Koreans. As a result, Korean-owned or -inspired establishments have been popping up. This includes cafes, groceries, and restaurants, in which Korean Palace Restaurant is our go-to spot.

Korean Palace Restaurant, a.k.a. Kung Jeon Korean Palace Restaurant, is an eat-all-you-can KBBQ joint that employs a buffet-style method. This means that you don’t have to wait for the servers to bring your next plates of meat! Talk about efficiency and making the most out of your money!
Like many food spots in Baguio, Korean Palace, I think, is a house-turned-restaurant. So it has a very cozy vibe.

But if you want to take advantage of Baguio’s cold weather, you can opt for the al fresco area.

They serve six kinds of meats: Beef Belly, Beef Bulgogi, Pork Belly, Pork Bulgogi, Spicy Pork, and Chicken Bulgogi. My favorite here is the beef belly because it’s tasty and easy to cook.
The Meats at Korean Palace Restaurant
There are over 20 side dishes which include greens, seaweed soup, and the classic kimchi. However, steamed egg is not one of them. You will need to pay P250 per serving, if I remember correctly. For me, this is a big miss!

But what I loved the most in Korean Palace, as simple as it may be, is their garlic! I don’t know why but their garlic is tasty compared to other Korean barbecue spots. Maybe it’s because of the cooking equipment or its freshness. Anyway, I cooked a lot of it!

We went to Korean Palace on a cold evening, but it didn’t stop us from eating ice cream for dessert! Korean Palace has plenty of Korean ice cream brands. By the way, it’s not included in the buffet price.

It’s my first time to try this. I got the strawberry flavor and it’s delicious!
Honestly, Korean Palace Restaurant isn’t the best Korean barbecue spot out there. There probably are better KBBQ spots in Baguio. But if you want to save time (because waiting for meats could take time and even be a nightmare in other KBBQ spots), then Korean Palace is for you. I recommend it to you!
