Amand Coffee Bar (Angeles City, Pampanga): An Aesthetic Cafe Formerly Located Inside a Resort (They Have Good Coffee and Cakes!)
Pampanga’s Angeles City and its neighbor Clark Freeport have become a cafe haven. You will not run out of options there, from the trendy, Korean-themed ones (such as Cafe B.O.M. and Here Cafe) to the more artisanal ones, such as Amand Coffee Bar.
Amand Coffee Bar
Amand Coffee Bar is an aesthetic cafe that used to be located inside Amando’s Resort (hence the cafe’s name), which was a popular holiday destination in the 90s. The main branch closed down to give way to the property’s future development. Fortunately, the branch in Richthofen Street in Hensonville area is open.
We visited on a Monday afternoon and were the only customers. It was a relaxing experience!
Inside Amand Coffee Bar
I got the Amand Signature, which is rightly strong and sweet, with a nice cinnamon flavor. You can tell that they use premium beans (I believe it’s imported from Italy). My wife got the Kiwi Slush, which is sweet, tart, and has a gentle fizz.

I usually have low expectations of cafe cakes because they’re commonly dry and lack a wow factor. But Amand’s cakes were a pleasant surprise!
Their Belgian Chocolate Cake is moist and rich. It’s also not too sweet, which I like!

The Tiramisu is creamy and has a nice coffee flavor. It’s one of the better versions that I’ve had.

But the Ube Macapuno (Purple Yam and Coconut “Sport”) Cake leaves something to be desired. It’s on the dry side.

Amand Coffee Bar is one of the nice cafes in Angeles City-Clark Freeport area. They have good coffee and amazing cakes (generally). I hope to return and try their other drinks and food. I highly recommend Amand to you!
