My Favorite Photos of Singapore

Whenever I travel, I don’t just take photos of the food I ate but also the sights that amazed me. Occasionally, I capture moments that are simply breathtaking!

I’m not a professional photographer or even a hobbyist. But I studied the basic principles of photography and took shots using my iPhone 7. So if my shots or editing are horrible, please bear with me. I will appreciate tips though, especially on mobile photography. I’m hoping to buy a camera one day, learn more about photography, and practice in my foodventures and travels.

Starting today, I’m launching a series long-term series called My Favorite Photos (this idea was produced during the COVID-19 quarantine, which took longer than expected, a time where I was running out of ideas). It’s an album consisting of my prized photos of the places I visited. The first one is on Singapore, my favorite country abroad so far.

ArtScience Museum and the Marina Bay Skyline

Located in the Marina Bay Sands area, the ArtScience Museum is where art, science, culture, and technology meet. I took this shot from Helix Bridge with the Marina Bay skyline as the background.

The HSBC Rain Vortex at Jewel Changi Airport

The most popular attraction at Jewel Changi Airport, the HSBC Rain Vortex is the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, measuring 40 meters high. If you visit Jewel at night, make sure to catch the light-and-sounds show. A word of advise: Don’t miss this spectacular show! (For more on Jewel Changi Airport, read here)

Marina Bay Sands

The Marina Bay Sands is an integrated resort and one of the iconic landmarks in Singapore. It’s shopping mall called The Shoppes at the Marina Bay is my favorite mall so far. If you visit on an evening, make sure to watch Spectra, which is a free 15-minute light and water show (see showtimes here). You’ll be amazed, I guarantee!

Potato Head Singapore

Potato Head is a hospitality and entertainment group from Indonesia known for its beach club in Bali and restaurant in Jakarta. It has made its way in Singapore where it’s housed in an iconic building along Keong Saik Road in Chinatown. I like this photo because although it’s a regular shot, it looks like a panoramic one.

Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall

If you love colonial architecture like I do, then head over to Singapore’s Civic District where historic structures were preserved. Many of these structures are utilized as museums and galleries. One of my favorite buildings is the Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall.
