Hue Hotels and Resorts Boracay: A Hip and Instragrammable Spot in the Island
For our honeymoon last year, my wife and I went to Boracay (check out our food trip intro here). But instead of opting for a beachfront resort, we decided to stay at the hip Hue Hotels and Resorts Boracay, which is along the Main Road. It’s probably one of the most Instagrammable spots in the island.
We chose to stay there for 2 reasons. First, it is fairly new compared to other resorts and, second, it is home to a few popular F&B spots! (More on the latter later.)
Let me share our experience to you!
Upon Arrival
Our Room
We chose a Deluxe Room. We got a good deal since there was a promo for longer stays. By the way, the promos were abounding during that time since domestic tourism was restarting. To know more about Hue’s current offers, you may visit this link.
Station X and Other Amenities
Located inside Hue Boracay, Station X is a lifestyle hub that’s home to F&B concepts, specialty stores, and a Turf Area, which is a perfect spot to chill. We’re happy that it’s just an elevator away from our room.
The good news is that you don’t even have to be checked-in at Hue Boracay to get access to Station X. Check out their Dip & Dine package, which includes with consumable food and drinks from LA-UD Restaurant and Prisma, pool access, a daybed for 1, towel rental, and free WiFi. You may book here. (Note: I’m not getting a commission for this! LOL.)
Dining
As I’ve mentioned, Hue Boracay/Station X is home to F&B spots. They are:
Coco Mama
If you want to beat the Boracay heat with something sweet yet guilt-free, then Coco Mama is for you. They serve gluten-free, lactose-free, low-glycemic, and vegan coconut ice cream. Then it’s topped with different ingredients and served in a coconut shell.
We got the one with all the toppings, which are mango, pinipig (toasted glutinous rice grains), and sticky rice. Just imagine all the textures!
For Coco Mama branches and operating times, check out their Facebook and Instagram accounts.
LA-UD Restaurant
This restaurant is Hue Boracay’s in-house restaurant, serving Filipino and fusion dishes. It’s where we had our complimentary breakfast as well.
Little Wave
With a partnership with EDSA Beverage Design Group, Little Wave serves both classic and specialty drinks. I tried The Death Cream, which is like an espresso milkshake with thinner consistency. It’s perfectly sweet and creamy, and will definitely bring you to heaven! LOL.
Another specialty is The Little Wave, which is espresso and milk shaken together and topped with sea salt cream. I love the hint of saltiness.
Little Wave also serves breakfast and dessert. Try their Millionaire Bar:
Operating Hours: Wednesday-Monday, 8AM-6PM | Facebook | Instagram
Nonie’s
If you want to eat healthy, then head to Nonie’s. This food spot uses fresh ingredients locally and ethically sourced from the island and the Panay mainland. So at Nonie’s, you get to eat healthily, sustainably, and responsibly!
Nonie’s offers fusion-style, Filipino-inspired menu. We tried their Chicken and Pork Adobo and Tempeh Kare Kare. Both are good. But honestly, it will take time for me to appreciate tempeh and anything vegan. LOL.
I tried their Umami Burger Set, which consists of Supermagic’s signature burger and comes with fries and iced tea. Its patty is ultra juicy, perfectly seasoned, and rightly minced, while the cheese is perfectly salty and sharp. My only wish is that the bun was less dry but that got compensated by the patty’s juiciness. Overall, it’s an amazing burger!
Before I give my final thoughts about Hue Boracay, let me share how helpful their staff was. Our room’s temperature was warm because its aircon wasn’t performing to its optimum level. So they sent the maintenance to repair it. But one night, our room got really warm that we can’t tolerate it anymore.
So late at night, the staff looked for a vacant room. They found two but they weren’t cool enough (I guess it’s really the centralized airconditioning system). But we decided to take our chance and moved to one of them. The housekeeping was helpful in transferring our stuff and even offered an electric fan. They were apologetic but we understand because it’s beyond their control. The management even gave us a complimentary meal, which we didn’t expect.
I share this to show how the Hue family takes hospitality seriously (they’re really living up to their company’s name—Hospitality Innovators, Inc.). They were helpful to our inquiries and very accommodating to our requests.
So will we still consider Hue Boracay in our future visit? Absolutely! Aside from their IG-worthy facilities and amazing F&B concepts, their hospitality is simply top-notch. I highly recommend Hue Hotels and Resorts Boracay to you.
