The Buzzz Cafe by Bohol Bee Farm: Have a Delicious Meal at Alona Beach with a View of the Sea

I’m doing a Bohol Food Trip series this month. Check out the installments so far: Giuseppe Pizzeria and Sicilian Roast | Jojie’s Pa-initang Bol-anon

When I was researching for food spots in Bohol, I found Bohol Bee Farm to be in every list. It’s a resort in Panglao Island with rooms, a restaurant, and an organic farm. It’s also a popular stop for many countryside tours.

They’re also known for offering delicious food at their restaurant. Fortunately, you don’t have to drive all the way to Bohol Bee Farm, which is a bit far from the Alona Beach area, where tourists usually stay. Because right along Alona Beach is Bohol Bee Farm’s restaurant, The Buzzz Cafe.

At The Buzzz Cafe, you don’t only get to eat delicious food but also get a view of the sea from the restaurant’s second floor:

Look at that view of the sea!

Let me share our experience, starting with the complimentary bread. It comes with a pesto and honey butter.

Speaking of honey, I think most of the cafe’s dishes have honey in it. After all, it’s what Bohol Bee Farm is known for. Take for example their Cheese Pizza, which has a hint of sweetness.

We also tried their Fish & Chips. Instead of cream dory (which my wife and I don’t like), it’s made with a local marlin.

Fish & Chips

It’s our first time to hear of Fish & Chips made with marlin. It tastes fresh and it’s flaky. So it works!

We noticed that one of their specials is Grilled Ribeye Steak. When I saw it, I instantly knew that we’ll have to order it. And it didn’t disappoint!

Grilled Ribeye Steak (PHP980)

The ribeye is tender, fatty, and perfectly seasoned. It’s easily one of the cheap yet good steaks I have tried from a resto.

Of course, I had my ribeye cooked medium rare

The steak comes with a salad, which gives a contrasting crispness to the tender meat, and a pasta, which is garlicky and a little sweet, probably due to honey again.

We ended our meal with Bohol Bee Farm Ice Cream. It’s so creamy because it’s made with coconut milk. I got Malunggay (Moringa), which is a bestseller, and Durian, which I love!

If you didn’t get to buy pasalubong (souvenir) from Bohol Bee Farm during your countryside tour or you weren’t able to visit the farm at all, then you can buy the farm’s products at The Buzzz Cafe’s first floor.

The Buzzz Cafe also has other branches in Panglao Island, Tagbilaran City, and even in Cebu. But I prefer the Alona Beach branch, as you can have a good meal with a view of the sea. I highly recommend The Buzzz Cafe to you.
